All of these sites were built in roughly 24 hours or less, all totally responsive with Google Analytics on every button. I’ll blog about the best ones in more detail at a later date.

On Wednesday I built a site for Kara Cantrell, a startup dating consultant, who needed a site to showcase her professional services. The brief was to make a site that appeals to men (her target clients) but that also reflects her personality. It needed to be friendly and welcoming. Having browsed some other dating consultant websites, I came to the conclusion that this is one industry where people do not care how bad their websites look. Yep, I said it. Recently we launched a new service called Launchpad24. The idea was borne from conversations with clients, and particularly startups, to have a cost-effective and fast way to get high-quality but simple landing pages up, to enable them to test new product offerings rapidly. Launchpad24 is our way of addressing this need. This was the perfect opportunity to use one of my favourite photos from a trip to Paris. The page is responsive, so that it looks just as good on a mobile as it does on a desktop.
Ivy Dai, a professional chef and television presenter from California, had two existing websites that she wanted to combine into one. She was looking for a site that could showcase the various aspects of her work, from cooking classes to nutritional consultations, while also having a ‘magazine-style’ interface for her food blog. One of the issues I am keen to avoid is making a client a website that they find difficult to use or update later on. There’s no need to pay a web designer to do small updates to your site. Therefore, Ivy and I decided that her site should be […]
